The YouthIES project gets underway in Cyprus to promote youth innovation in sustainability and social entrepreneurship
Cyprus, April 2023- On 27 April 2023, the kick-off meeting of the European YouthIES project was held in Cyprus. This initiative is funded by the Erasmus+ programme to promote youth innovation through social entrepreneurship in the field of environmental sustainability, using methodologies such as Design Thinking and Digital Storytelling.
During this first meeting, the project partners from different European countries defined the general objectives of the project, divided up the tasks, drew up the calendar of activities and outlined the visual identity of the project and the communication strategy on social networks.
One of the most important steps of the meeting was the creation of the Monitoring Group, which will play a key role in supporting and supervising the implementation of the project. The future workshops on positioning, which will serve to identify local environmental problems through a participatory approach with the community, were also defined.
